Aftermarket System FAQs
Q: Why do I need an autonomous fluid production system (AFPS)
A: The AFPS provides a limitless supply of cleaning fluid for the windshield, and ADAS cameras and sensors cleaning systems, ensuring they stay operational. Never running out of cleaning fluid!
Q: How is this system eco-friendly?
A: It reduces potable water consumption, avoids using large plastic bottles, and lowers carbon emissions, contributing to a healthier planet.
Q: How does Brimtech help to reduce carbon emissions?
A: The Fluid Charging Cartridge (1 ounce) makes 10 gallons of quality cleaning fluid and is much lighter than a 1-gallon bottle of cleaning fluid (128 ounces), reducing shipping weight and therefore fuel consumption, leading to lower carbon emissions. Think of like this; 100 AFPS fluid charging cartridges weigh a total of approximately 100 ounces (6.25 lbs.) and will make 1,000 gallons of cleaning fluid. While 1,000 gallons of bottled fluid weighs approximately 8,000 lbs. That’s a lot of fuel burned to transport it from manufacturer to retail store. Not to mention shelf space needed and all the plastic that never gets recycled.
Q: Is condensate water good for cleaning my windshield?
A: Yes! Unlike tap water, condensate water is free from minerals and chlorine, which can clog washer spray nozzles.
Q: How does this product provide a safer driving environment?
A: It enables frequent windshield and camera cleaning, helping to maintain clear visibility and reducing the risk of accidents due to blind spots or glare.
Q: What will happen to the Aftermarket System in freezing temperatures?
A: The system shuts off just above freezing to prevent any damage.
Q: How many gallons of washer fluid does the Fluid Charging Cartridge make?
A: It produces 10 gallons of high-quality windshield washing fluid and it only weighs about 1 ounce.
Q: Is the Aftermarket Product easy to install?
A: Yes, it is quick and easy to install. Refer to the installation video on the Aftermarket Install page.
Q: What happens after the Fluid Charging Cartridge makes 10 gallons of fluid?
A: It will still send filtered water to the washer reservoir, but without cleaning additives. It’s recommended to keep an extra cartridge in your car for convenience. The OEM AFPS will notify you when it is running low and will offer you a selection of purchasing and delivery options thru the infotainment system and your smartphone. You may choose to have it delivered to your home address, or you may choose to have it delivered to you final destination address. Or just click the service or parts location you choose, and it will add it to your navigation waypoint and notify them that you are on your way. Once you get there, text the space # and they will come outside and install it for you. 1 minute later, you are back on the road.
Q: Can I just fill my washer reservoir with tap water for free?
A: Tap water may eventually clog the washer jets due to minerals. The system uses condensate, which is mineral-free.
Q: I get my fluid topped off at the place that changes my oil. Do I really need this Self-Filling System?
A: Manual refills rely on freshwater resources, it’s a still limited volume, and are they mixing tap water with detergent concentrate that can clog the spray nozzles? The AFPS is sustainable and provides constant refilling on the go. Each gallon of the AFPS cleaning fluid produced cost 50% less than bottled fluids per gallon. In the future, these same oil change facilities will change out the fluid charging cartridge and top off your antifreeze agent.
Q: Can I add an anti-freezing agent to my washer reservoir in winter?
A: Yes! The Aftermarket System will shut off just above freezing, allowing safe use of subzero fluids. The OEM system keeps running year-round, adding the anti-freezing agent as needed in cold weather and conserving it in warmer climates.
Q: Is the Aftermarket System covered under a warranty?
A: Yes, it comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
OEM System FAQs
Q: What is the difference between the Aftermarket System and the OEM System?
A: The Aftermarket System is suited for warmer climates, shutting off at 32°F. The OEM System works in all weather and produces fluid in sub-freezing temperatures and is a connected system and very smart! It notifies drivers when they are low on chemicals and offers them easy purchasing, delivery and servicing options via the vehicle infotainment system and their smart phone.
Q: Will the windshield washer fluid produced by the OEM Self-Filling System freeze?
A: No, it injects anti-freezing agents in colder weather to prevent freezing.
Q: I don’t run my A/C in the winter. How will the system produce fluid then?
A: The OEM System also collects water from rain and snow, ensuring year-round functionality for windshield and camera cleaning.
